How Asian Family Patterns Affect Your Worth and Financial Abundance
Even if one Asian generation is passing on wealth to the next generation, the abundance transference will be distorted if they are, at the same time, passing on messages and lessons of unworthiness, prostituting one’s sovereignty to others, and the camouflaging of vigilance as virtue.
The Frost before the Buds of Growth
This is the original maze. The incarnational maze. We all get set up with these trick mirrors that bring illusions and the side doors that lead us for another detour. My maze was believing that all I could ever be, all I could ever hope for, was to be accepted amongst my Asian family and community. Wandering in the maze, I was willing to give up my body, my soul, and my dreams to feel what I thought was ‘Love’.

The distortion of the family unit being more important than your life has origins in the principles that Confucius on-record listed of Ritual 禮 pronounced “Li” and Filial Piety 孝順 pronounced “Xiao Shun”. On surface-level read, it seems to be a nice theoretical concept. However, when we incorporate the understanding that this world order placed men above women and chronologically older people above those who have incarnated later, we run into oppressive constructs of patriarchy and scarcity mindset/territorialism.
Overused Logic: Why Intuition was Systematically Sabotaged
When people lose the material means to their independence, they also begin to lose faith in themselves, their history, their cosmologies, and spiritual lessons. Because they now exist in a world where they must appease and fawn in order to obtain their basic necessities, their worldview shifts to center the perspective of their oppressors. If the Western power does not respect or understand the cultures’ spiritual practice and values, slowly those very own people begin to discard their own spiritual heritage.
The Asian American Life Crisis
Most Asian Americans are taught that it is essential to get the best education possible, obtain a high paying job in a stable career industry, and get married by their early thirties. If that is not too much, they’re also pushed to start having children soon after marriage to prevent a woman’s biological clock from ‘running out’. What is tragic about this trajectory is when Asian Americans can finally experience their adult independence psychologically and financially, they are pressured into giving it up quickly by taking on the enormous responsibility of parenting.
Rebirth of Passion for Asian Americans
I write this post for the Asian Americans, so that they can have a framework and idea for the intergenerational patterns that hold them back and find their autonomy as humans. The ingrained fear and scarcity mindset does not help us fulfill our dreams and support our community. In order to make a difference, we Asian Americans will need to do something different. We can make contributions into industries that meet our passions and support society, rather than lean on a ‘safe’ career that only temporarily pacifies your fear of insecurity. We can explore our inner worlds and emotions as a full human, not as a humanoid playing a role that must be vetted or vetoed by an Asian elder.
On Fear, Ascension, and the State of our Nation
In our world right now, fear is being activated purposely to aggravate and fear is also being activated purposely to trigger the higher ascension of humanity. That means that we collectively, are all facing a challenge. We all must unpack and witness what makes us feel fear, how we feel fear, and how we sit with it or transmute it through holding connection with a Higher light.
